Tough to upload images


 This is showing as a pending thread by Jennifer who is having a hard time figuring a few things work here.

So I have stepped in with some advice, for what it's worth. My advice and a loonie (Cdn money) might buy you a small cuppa.

There is a menu along the top of the composition page, one is for inserting links and looks like this.....

Next to that is a square box with what looks like two mountain peaks, which is for adding images. What I do is save an image to my desktop and add the image from there, in fact you can just click and drag an image onto this thread, but if not, click on the arrow beside the mountain top and select "Upload from computer."

If you don't like the picture you have posted and want to get rid of it, just double click on it till it turns blue and then backspace on your keyboard, and presto, it's gone.

Next is an option to add videos. Typically from Youtube. Again click on the arrow beside the logo that looks like film tape. 

At the far right are three dots for further options. I have never used those options. What I have used is B for bolding certain words, or the underlined A to change the color of the text. 

Takes some getting used to but hang in there Jennifer.

Also got an email from our resident Monster, saying one of his threads was stuck in pending. He must have figured it out because I see no pending threads by him. If this happens to any authors, again on the top righthand corner there is an option that says "Publish." If you are not ready to publish yes there is a drop down menu that starts with Preview.

All of this will be Greek to those of you who are not authors and this has nothing to do with Disqus, as the only way to compose a thread on here is through Blogger and you have to have set up an account with them to do so.

My regular authors have become quite adept at how to use these features, so any new authors, just hang in there, you WILL get used to it.

In the meantime, with Jennifer's approval, I will post something fun to go on this thread for a Monday:

I mean, talk about irony, this iceberg was found outside of Conception Bay. And there really is a spot in Newfoundland called Dildo.

Philosophical Question #14 – Lifestyle Choices

Here is an interesting question in my list of philosophical questions: 1.) Should governments have penalties for those who live unhealthy lifestyles? A list of unhealthy lifestyles would include things like smoking, drinking, illegal drugs, prostitution, and other “vice” type activities. I guess the “government penalties” would be referring to monetary punishments, withholding medical treatments (insurance companies would love that), possibly imposing/regulating very high (exorbitant) prices on things considered unhealthy in order to cut down on their use, and other possibilities. 2.) Or, would you say that living an unhealthy lifestyle, likely resulting in a LOT of eventual personal pain and suffering, should be punishment enough for unhealthy lifestyles? When people make bad choices in life, often in their youth where ignorance and immediate gratification takes them over,  3.) Should a society be obligated to help "fix" them, by way of tax money?   Is that part of
