The Coronation - who gives a shit?

Yesterday, turn on CNN, the Coronation. Turn on Fox, the Coronation. Turn on CBC, the Coronation. Frantic crowds in front of Westminster Abbey.

Whoopie do. Who gives a shit? However, maybe YOU did. Something about royal pageantry that attracts adoring fans. BUT did you watch? I skipped past all the news networks that were carrying the Coronation.

King’s coronation draws apathy, criticism in former colonies

Now you would think that Canadians, being part of the Commonwealth, would care, but guess again:

Canadians don’t really care about King Charles’ coronation: Survey

When asked if they would make an effort to watch Charles’ coronation, a whopping 78% said no, while 19% were going to tune in, and the remaining 3% were unsure.

A new YouGov poll conducted in the weeks prior to the king's coronation finds that 62% of Americans say they do not care about the event "very much" (29%) or "at all" (33%).
American adults are about twice as likely as British adults (33% to 15%) to say that both Harry and Meghan should attend the coronation. British adults are nearly twice as likely as Americans to say neither should attend (15% of Americans say this, compared to 27% of Britons). Americans are slightly less likely than Brits to say they don't mind either way who attends (39% vs 46%).

So, did you watch all, some or none of it?
Do you give a shit about the Royals?
Is it all just a bunch of nonsense?
Or do the Royals have a special place in your heart?
