General Patton’s WWII Dodge WC-57 Command Car for sale

Will go under the hammer in June in Auburn, Indiana and is offered at no reserve

George Patton is considered one of the most successful combat generals in US history. He was the first officer assigned to the Tank Corps in WWI and during WWII, he helped lead the Allies to victory in the invasion of Sicily, and was instrumental to the liberation of Germany from the Nazis. Now, 75 years since his death, his Dodge WC-57 Command Car has popped up for sale.

Produced for the US army between 1942 and 1945, it the predecessor of the post-war civilian Dodge Power Wagon. This one was modified for General Patton to use during World War II.

Customised in England in 1944 to Patton’s specifications, it has to be one of the most interesting vehicles that have come up for sale.

Some of the modifications include front and rear armor plating, sirens, horns and metal flags and stars...
