Childhood Memories

Apologies in advance, but I may have put this same OP out a few years ago (ironic to this OP... you'll see ๐Ÿ˜‰).  I kind of remember mentioning the subject before, but that may have just been in an individual blog post to someone, somewhere along the line.  Or maybe I imagined doing it.  Anyway, I wanted to talk about childhood memories here.

Nowadays, in the era of ubiquitous cell phones, many kids have quite a little chunk of their lives recorded on phones, whether in pictures or videos of themselves.  When you can get a constant reminder (a refresher) of the same info at your beck and call/your cell phone fingertips, it tends to stick in the long term memory more solidly.

But when I was growing up (I'm a baby boomer), the pictures, not to mention the videos (celluloid tapes), were few and far between.  And when we finally got the tapes back from the store and could look at them, we all hoped that the film didn’t get caught up in the projector and “fried.”  Ouuu.  Bye-bye memory.  You’ve been relegated to accommodating “gray matter” now.  Good luck with that, as time goes by! ๐Ÿ™

So I was wondering…

  • What is your earliest memory of childhood?
  • About how old do you think you were?
  • Was it a positive or negative memory?

Tell us about it.

Thanks for posting and recommending.
