Buzzwords, catchphrases and other trendy terminology

Hey, gates!  Got a fag, Mag?  Wanna ramble?  Let's chatter about buzzwords and trendy talk!

Back in the day, you know, when your grandparents and great-grandparents were young (yes, this actually did happen, or so I'm told), the "hot" words were different from today's.  For example, flappers were the bee's knees!




Ah, those were the days.  Still, you needed a wad of cabbage to afford a bim like one of those broads.   But time marches on, and before you knew it, it was 23 skiddoo! to those chippies, and on to the '40s, when only fuddy-duddies still called a lovely cookie anything as antiquated as that.

But don't worry!  There were still plenty of 



Mind you, the men were just as fashionable.  Who wouldn't want to grandstand in a  Zoot Suit?!  Those outfits drove the girls khaki-whacky!



By the sixties, everything was groovy.  I mean it was far out!  Everything was mellow!



That is, until the authorities freak out and send in the pigs.  That can be a real bummer!  Can you dig it?

 It's like this folks: sometimes your mind goes blank. Happens more than usual with me of course. Take this forum for instance. I wanted to post something today and couldn't think of a topic. At least not a non-sexual one and we know sexual ones lately have been frowned upon.  Then along comes one of our regulars and complains about something. Well, they might not say it was a complaint, just an observation, but it was a complaint. A minor one. It has something to do about being able to make something out of nothing. Sort of like me this morning, how to make a thread out of an empty head? But they (notice I am using the correct pronoun, not saying he or she), by what they said got me thinking.
