What’s the problem?

Around the world, no matter the culture, people are people.  In other words, we all want the exact same things out of life: good health, security, respect, purpose, a voice in matters, someone to care about and who cares about us.  Pretty generic stuff, ‘eh?

While there is virtually no disagreement on these desired things, the problem comes when deciding how to achieve them.  Yes, our goals are the same across the board, but our proposed methods vary.  So…

What do you see as humanity’s problem with achieving these common goals?  Where are we, as a species, collectively going wrong?  Is there a fix?  If so, what?  Please speculate.

Thanks for posting and recommending.
