Green-White-Green Flags Around the World


In the modern era, only one country has a national flag with a green-white-green motif: Nigeria. Yet there are also numerous additional green-white-green flags used by different institutions, departments, businesses, states, cities, and provinces. There are also flags from the past that have a design similar to this.

The national flag of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has a simple design. It simply consists of a green field with a white stripe in the center. The dimension of the white stripe and the two green stripes on the sides is the same. The white color symbolizes peace and unity, while the green color signifies the nation's lush greenery and agricultural sector.

Now I know you are all impressed with me finding rare gems like this one to post, on a Friday night even. BUT I have one big problem with the above article, it leaves out the most well known and beloved Green And White flag out there:

Philosophical Question #14 – Lifestyle Choices

Here is an interesting question in my list of philosophical questions: 1.) Should governments have penalties for those who live unhealthy lifestyles? A list of unhealthy lifestyles would include things like smoking, drinking, illegal drugs, prostitution, and other “vice” type activities. I guess the “government penalties” would be referring to monetary punishments, withholding medical treatments (insurance companies would love that), possibly imposing/regulating very high (exorbitant) prices on things considered unhealthy in order to cut down on their use, and other possibilities. 2.) Or, would you say that living an unhealthy lifestyle, likely resulting in a LOT of eventual personal pain and suffering, should be punishment enough for unhealthy lifestyles? When people make bad choices in life, often in their youth where ignorance and immediate gratification takes them over,  3.)
