Here's the California wildfire — as seen from the International Space Station
NASA Astronaut Andrew Morgan posted these photos of the California wildfire north of the Bay Area on Twitter:
“From the International Space Station I was able to catch these pictures of the California wildfires burning north of the Bay Area. Thinking of the people who have lost their homes and the brave first responders on the front lines protecting them.”

This is what it looks like on the ground in Simi Valley
CNN's Bill Weir is at the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California, where the nearby Easy Fire has prompted a mandatory evacuation.
Weir had to wear googles and a mask while reporting because of the smoke and flames.
He explained that the area is vulnerable because of its growing wilderness.
"The state is so vulnerable. There was so much growth into these wilderness areas the last few generations with no real regard for a climate like this to where fire seasons don't give you a break anymore," he said. CalFire Riverside says they have begun fighting a new fire in Riverside, California. The fire, which authorities are calling the Water Fire, is currently burning five acres.

More mandatory evacuations ordered in Ventura County
Ventura County has expanded the areas under mandatory evacuation. The areas circled in pink on the map shows the area that are under mandatory evacuations.
The area in red is under a voluntary evacuation.
The Easy Fire is now even closer to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library
Aerial video from CNN affiliate KABC shows the Easy Fire has moved even closer to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
Library spokeswoman Melissa Giller told CNN earlier that there is a firebreak around the library and added that staff feel "really safe" despite the fire.
A skeleton staff is staying at the library, even though officials posted a mandatory evacuation for an area that includes the library.
