đ»Creationist Ken Ham Wants You To Threaten Kids With âEternal Hellâ On Halloweenđ»
Along with checking Halloween candy for choking hazards and other concerns, parents might want to inspect for something else: propaganda. Creationist Ken Ham, who runs a Noahâs Ark-themed attraction in Kentucky, is encouraging his followers to hand out a Halloween âgiftâ thatâs more trick than treat.
âOne way you can make the most of this once-a-year opportunity is by giving gospel tracts to children and/or their parents, along with candy and treats,â he wrote on his website. Ham suggests giving away the items he sells, including fake âmillion-dollarâ bills with pictures of things like a T-Rex or Noahâs Ark on the front and warnings of eternal damnation on the back:
âHave you ever lied, stolen or used Godâs name in vain?â a message on the back of one of the bills reads. âIf so, youâve broken Godâs law. The penalty for your crimes against God is death and eternal hell because God is holy and just.â
âGod sees you as guilty of sin,â the bill reads. âThe penalty of sin is death and eternity in hell.â the bills read, "In the days of Noah, God judged guilty men with a global flood... When you face God on Judgment Day, will you be innocent or guilty?"
âKids love these!â Ham claims on his blog. Ham clams the funny money is âworth far more than a million dollars,â which would make the retail price of $8.99 for 200 of them an absolute steal. The other bill â which again, Ham wants you to give to little kids on Halloween â warns against lust, which it says is âthe same as committing adultery.â He also urges people to buy and distribute other items he sells, like booklets about the âevils of modern-day Halloween.â In previous years, Ham has suggested what he calls âreverse trick-or-treating,â which is when you visit others on Halloween to give them âgoodies,â which of course includes his gospel booklets.

Mod note: Just a reminder, this is a story about Creationist Ken Ham and his take on Halloween. It's not meant to be a religious topic specifically and so not the place to proselytyze.
