WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS PRESIDENT
TIME TO HAVE SOME FUN:
NOW I would request for this one to take off your partisan blinders and actually participate as an individual, with an individual agenda, with individual mind and political philosophy, BUT...
IF your political philosophy is to answer that ALL Conservatives are evil and ALL Liberals are evil, or you want to devolve this discussion into partisan face-slapping, well... have at it, but I will respond to those who actually will answer this hypothetical:
WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU COULD BECOME PRESIDENT
Yeah, I know, it is a pretend game, but let's face it, some of us, maybe most of us, must have mused at some time or another what we would do if we held that high seat.
So - as example:
SNOWFLAKE as PRESIDENT
-reduce spending on the Military, but increase spending on Intelligence Services.
-increase taxes on the rich and large corporations, including those who don't pay taxes like Amazon - while not raising taxes on the middle class.
-put together a bipartisan panel (if that is even possible) and call in healthcare experts, and find ways to fix the ACA, rather than scrap it and then going to universal healthcare - and if not workable, try to find a way to offer a public option.
-use incentives to encourage people to go "green", rather than punishing people for still using gas and oil, and yes, I realize some of this is already being done, but more can be done, like offering property tax reduction for those who put solar panels on their homes, or offering zero license-renewal fees for those who drive electric cars, etc.
-put more resources into border security (but not a wall), while at the same time offering a pathway to citizenship to illegals who have been here for a long period of time and have a clean record. Ditto for Dreamers.
-re-enter the Paris Climate Accords, provide greater military aide to the Ukraine, and encourage their entry into Nato.
-outlaw partisan jerrymandering, regardless of which party does it - and to put to rest the worry about ID laws, offer every American citizen that has proof that they were born here, a Federal ID so that states can't try to purge legitimate voters from their voter rolls.
-move (if it is possible) to have Supreme Court Justices selected by being voted in by the populace, and if not possible, provide term limits, so they can't sit on the Court for life.
-work with both anti-gun and pro-gun groups to come up with solutions, with the understanding that if pro-gun lobby groups refuse to compromise, that executive action or passing of gun bills will be done without them, but give them all a chance to participate first.
Now that is just scratching the surface, and of course, I am a leftist Snowflake so many of you will disagree with my tactics, but that is neither here nor there, because I am not asking for your approval of what I would do as President, but asking WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS PRESIDENT.
PLEASE: unless someone is being an obvious partisan idiot, respect what people say they would do as President, because we don't all think alike, and I am curious to see how you folks would respond.
