Great stuff you've never heard of

 We're drenched in media these days.  More television than we could have dreamt of in our youth.  Music you can pluck from the air.  Toys and tchotchkes of every description.  The trick is finding the stuff you'll like.  It's not easy!

In the old days, these things were curated for you.  If it didn't get on the radio, you never heard of it.  There were a very limited number of television channels with new material -- and even those spent half their time on "re-runs" and syndicated shows.  Even stuff like comics depended on only a few publishers.

But now?  Now, we're inundated!  And there's so much terrific stuff out there!  So much you'll never hear about unless you're lucky!

So let's share some of our discoveries, eh?  Here's mine:  a little-known graphic novel, first published in the 1980s, which flopped magnificently.  A delightful tale of a totally talentless, overweight, clueless boor who conquers the entertainment world.  Yes, it's the

Philosophical Question #14 – Lifestyle Choices

Here is an interesting question in my list of philosophical questions: 1.) Should governments have penalties for those who live unhealthy lifestyles? A list of unhealthy lifestyles would include things like smoking, drinking, illegal drugs, prostitution, and other “vice” type activities. I guess the “government penalties” would be referring to monetary punishments, withholding medical treatments (insurance companies would love that), possibly imposing/regulating very high (exorbitant) prices on things considered unhealthy in order to cut down on their use, and other possibilities. 2.) Or, would you say that living an unhealthy lifestyle, likely resulting in a LOT of eventual personal pain and suffering, should be punishment enough for unhealthy lifestyles? When people make bad choices in life, often in their youth where ignorance and immediate gratification takes them over,  3.)
