Being reminded what it means to be sagacious and not obtuse

 Every once in a while I run into a Wingnut (usually a Rightie, but occasionally a Leftie too), who reminds me what it looks like to be an obtuse partisan arsehole, and lacking the tools to be analytical, thoughtful, well read, educated, or even - sagacious.

For the Rightwingnut the arguments are particularly hilarious: They spout all kinds of hateful rhetoric about anyone they disagree with, particularly Leftists, Socialists, Democrats, Snowflakes. 

Ok, fair enough, we on the Left do the same about Righties, Conservatives, Republicans, Deplorables. It is the internet after all.

BUT........ when THEY resort to quoting Fox, American Thinker, Washington Examiner, Breitbart, NY Post........... well we all get WHY they quote those sources. Point out their bias using factchecking sites and THEY refer to the factcheckers as "liberal."

The hoops they jump through!

Almost without fail, Wingnuts (usually a Rightie, but occasionally a Leftie too) attempt to derail a thread by posting their personal grievance or attack their favorite target, be it Obama or Biden or Pelosi or Fauci or ........... the list goes on, instead of sticking to the topic posted.

I have quibbed in the past that if someone posts a thread about Mom's Apple Pie, some Wingnut will make it about Liberals or wokeness or BLM, etc.

The true irony, and sadness, of all this is THEY really do think they are fooling us. I might run into one of those Wingnuts here (which I will deal with quickly) but also on other sites where the moderation is lighter and more forgiving, in which case ANY discussion or debate will devolve into who can throw the hardest insult. 

I wish the Wingnuts could understand that being obtuse is no credit to their reputation (not that they care, on the internet you can be anonymous), or being obtuse just further demonstrates their lack of sagacity. OR........ they are just being willfully arrogant.

So for any Wingnuts out there:

AND.............. as an addendum........... Why is it Wingnuts constantly are complaining about being cancelled, censored, banned? 

This constant whining about "freedom" of speech is such a canard. Twitter, Facebook, other social media platforms, SNOWFLAKE'S, all have their rules and Terms of Service. If they can't abide by them, and want the "freedom" to spout whatever they want, I would consider that another example of being obtuse.
