Recurring dreams…
I think most all of us have them. My worst
and probably most frequent one is when I can’t find my car that I parked downtown
somewhere. I have parked it at a meter on the street, early in the
morning, went in for a day’s work, come back out 8 hours later, and can’t remember where I parked it. I look up one street and down the
other, over and over, but no luck. And to make matters worse, I even use the "sound horn" on the key chain, and I can hear the horn beeping in the distance somewhere, but I never can get any closer to it. I eventually
even get someone (faceless) to drive me around to look for it, but I NEVER find
it. My car still remains out there
on the street somewhere for the next dream time. :(
Another dream I have involves one of those giant Airbus airplanes. As I'm watching from inside my car, I see it slowly descending for a landing at the airport. It starts to sputter and begins to tip, eventually cartwheeling its way
to impact, followed by a gigantic fireball. :(
A third dream involves being late for my flight. (Yeah, another airplane one!) I keep looking for a parking spot
(car parking problems again!) but can’t find one. Next thing I know, someone is
dropping me off at the door, but I can’t find the check-in counter. I’m asking another airline where the right
counter is, or I ask them if they will check me in instead. I hear over the PA system that my plane is boarding now. I finally have my ticket but I
can’t find the gate. And on and on and
on. Once I finally do get on board, the seats are arranged
like a movie theater, with balcony seating. :(
My fourth most frequent dream has to do with not being able to find my
classroom. Oh, I really hate this one! First,
I can’t figure out which of two buildings it’s in, then when I get to what I
think is the right building, I can’t find the classroom. I walk the halls and see other classes
underway, with students in place and listening to a lecture. Now I’m really getting anxious. I’m still looking for the right class but,
since I (you guessed it) lost my paperwork, I can’t remember if it’s this class
or that class that I'm looking for (was it math or biology or English, oh my?). :(
I wish I could have dreams where there isn’t always a
problem involved. Even in my regular non-reoccurring dreams, I always seem to be facing some
sort of problem that I have to find a way to fix.
What
does it all mean??
Now, tell us about
your reoccurring dreams.
