Back in 2019, Trump mused about withdrawing from NATO, no doubt he wasn't serious, just sending a "message"

But there are those who DO think that NATO take care of it's own now and that the U.S. should withdraw.

We know the arguments FOR staying in NATO, but some worry about the price tag:

SO weigh in on whether NATO needs to go it alone, or if we should continue pressing them to pay their fair share, or maybe even expand NATO (the Ukraine as example), or just leave well enough alone?
