Alternate Americas

Everybody likes to play "what if...?"

What if the South had won the Civil War?

What if the Nazis and Japanese had won World War II?

What if Stalinism had happened in England?

There are lots of novels, TV shows and movies that are no more than extended exercises in What If?  It's a game we all play.  The National Lampoon once opined that if Kennedy hadn't been assassinated, we'd have spent decades in war against England, trying to free Ireland.

So clearly, anything goes -- and nothing is sacred!

So tell us your favorite "What if?"  Fiction, non-fiction, the name you wish you'd chosen for your pet, what have you.  We're all listening, and rest assured, we WILL judge you!  Because that's fun.
