Biblical authority
While cleaning out my bookmarks I came across this; why I bookmarked it escapes me but it looked as though it might be a peg for discussion.

There are a number of assumptions here:
That the Bible is the word of god rather than a fiction written by men
That it is the only “holy” book which matters
That even in Mainly Christian countries everyone is bound by bible rules
That we are unable to live responsibly without bible rules
Foley goes in to say:
When culture or the church strays from biblical authority, everyone does what’s right in his or her own eyes. Moral relativism runs rampant, the gospel is watered down, and sin abounds.
