Endangered Cultural Practice: Iron Crotch Kung Fu
Several sources are reporting that the ancient practice of Iron Crotch Kung Fu is slowly dying out in China. The practice takes it name from using an 88 lb iron-tipped log to smash into men's crotches. Apparently women do not practice this venerable art. As shown in the video, the log is hung from chains and it can be conveniently swung back and forth.
In an effort to keep this ancient tradition alive, the crotch smashers are taking their shown on the road in an effort to spark a new wave of interest and possibly adherents. Franchise licenses are now available at a low introductory cost for entrepreneurs who want to transplant this amazing ancient cultural practice into the US. The video below was taken a few years ago in California in front of an enrapt audience.
One of the Iron Crotch masters asserted that if done properly, the practice does not cause men to become sterile. The practice is just having trouble competing with video games for people's leisure time.
