IT'S A NEW YEAR - but same ole same ole


So Trump ordered a bad man to be taken out, good for him, maybe not so good for the States though.
BUT - as per usual, turn on CNN and they are full of criticism but turn on FOX and they are full of praise.

Then we are back to the old debate about who should be running for President of the Good Ole U.S. of A.
Those who think Biden is too old and too compromising will hold their noses and let Trump be re-elected.
Those who think Warren and Sanders are too far left for most middle Americans (that includes me), will also hold their noses ( I won't - I would vote for ANY Dem over Trump ).

Then we have more debates about the climate, thanks to the wildfires in Australia, and thanks to an idiot of a Prime Minister who thought he was being OH SO smart when he once brought in a lump of coal to Parliament to show off his support for coal.

And we still have those clowns out there, with no scientific knowledge or who spend all their time reading debunked conspiracy climate change denial sites funded by oil and gas - who will tell you it is cold outside, so that is proof climate change ain't happening.

Meanwhile - I was saddened to see the U.S. knocked out so early from the World Junior Hockey tournament, but thrilled to see the Canadians hand the Ruskies a spanking for the Gold. OH - you didn't know there was a World Junior Hockey tournament going on? Too busy arguing all things Trump?

Philosophical Question #14 – Lifestyle Choices

Here is an interesting question in my list of philosophical questions: 1.) Should governments have penalties for those who live unhealthy lifestyles? A list of unhealthy lifestyles would include things like smoking, drinking, illegal drugs, prostitution, and other “vice” type activities. I guess the “government penalties” would be referring to monetary punishments, withholding medical treatments (insurance companies would love that), possibly imposing/regulating very high (exorbitant) prices on things considered unhealthy in order to cut down on their use, and other possibilities. 2.) Or, would you say that living an unhealthy lifestyle, likely resulting in a LOT of eventual personal pain and suffering, should be punishment enough for unhealthy lifestyles? When people make bad choices in life, often in their youth where ignorance and immediate gratification takes them over,  3.)
