Yeah, but the ending SUCKED!

 We've all got favorite television programs.  But think of all the times you invested a lot of love and energy into watching a beloved show and it betrayed you with an ending so bad, it was like a punch in the belly.  For example, there's Dexter


No, no, no, not that Dexter!  This Dexter!



The show that went from having a sympathetic psychopath whose activities ended up killing virtually everyone he cared about or who cared about him, to having him reform and find a new life as ....

            ....a lumberjack!


But there are worse endings.  Battlestar Galactica, for example.  Where a fascinating galactic war turns into a bad Mormon parable where the two most disgusting people in the entire series, traitors whose actions result in the death of millions, are revealed, 100,000 years later, to have been angels.  Seriously!





And there are so many others!  Lost.  The Sopranos.  The X-Files.  Shows that promised so much and in the end delivered so little.

 It's like this folks: sometimes your mind goes blank. Happens more than usual with me of course. Take this forum for instance. I wanted to post something today and couldn't think of a topic. At least not a non-sexual one and we know sexual ones lately have been frowned upon.  Then along comes one of our regulars and complains about something. Well, they might not say it was a complaint, just an observation, but it was a complaint. A minor one. It has something to do about being able to make something out of nothing. Sort of like me this morning, how to make a thread out of an empty head? But they (notice I am using the correct pronoun, not saying he or she), by what they said got me thinking.
