What do you think about…

Football? 

Oh yeah, it’s a sick sport.  I hate-love it.  Being raised in Ohio in the 60’s, football is kinda drilled into you as a kid.  After all, Canton does have the Football Hall of Fame.  As I recall, my dad would try to go to the induction ceremony every August, with his nephew.  Dad taught me and my sister all about football.  In our teens, my sister and I were in love with Roman Gabriel, Los Angeles Rams, Number 18.  (I just saw that he passed away this last April. 😞)

I watch football on the weekend here because I am sick of the other stupid shows on TV, including but not limited to the Sunday political shows.  So, I watch football.  Yes, I’m a “Regular Joesette” in that way, though I don’t care for beer.  My favorite team is the Detroit Lions now.  I’m predicting them to go to the Super Bowl this year (there’s a kiss of death… my prediction). 😱

So, how do you feel about football?

Do you see it as a stupid sport, as I do?  Yet, you can’t turn away?

Do you feel embarrassed because you find you are attracted to such a brutal sport, as I do?  Doesn’t make sense, for such a kind and gentle soul as myself. 🤷‍♀️ IDGI.

 It's like this folks: sometimes your mind goes blank. Happens more than usual with me of course. Take this forum for instance. I wanted to post something today and couldn't think of a topic. At least not a non-sexual one and we know sexual ones lately have been frowned upon.  Then along comes one of our regulars and complains about something. Well, they might not say it was a complaint, just an observation, but it was a complaint. A minor one. It has something to do about being able to make something out of nothing. Sort of like me this morning, how to make a thread out of an empty head? But they (notice I am using the correct pronoun, not saying he or she), by what they said got me thinking.
