Russia to Build ‘Migrant Village’ for Conservative American Expats


Russian authorities will launch construction of a village outside Moscow for conservative-minded Americans and Canadians next year, the state-run RIA Novosti news agency reported Thursday.

Russia has for years positioned itself as a bastion of "traditional" values in contrast with Western liberalism as its relations with the West have deteriorated over its 2014 annexation of Crimea and 2022 full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

(Is this for real? one might ask)

Timur Beslangurov, a migration lawyer at Moscow’s VISTA Foreign Business Support, claimed that “around 200 families” wish to emigrate to Russia for “ideological reasons.”

The lawyer further claimed without offering evidence that “tens of thousands” of foreigners without Russian roots would like to move to Russia for similar ideological reasons.

The construction of a migrant village for Americans and Canadians has not yet been publicly announced by officials.

Got me thinking. What kinds of accommodations would the Russians have to make to make American Conservatives "comfortable"?

I thought of a few:

A ban on all abortions.
Every household with an AR15
Exclusion of gay couples, mixed marriage couples, Muslim couples, Jews
Job advancement for men, women encouraged to stay home
Schools that promote Christian prayer and a cleansed version of American history
Banning of books not supported by Conservatives 
A liquor store on every corner but a total ban on marijuana
Availability of big trucks and big SUVS, all running on petrol (since petrol runs the Russian economy they should be ok with providing this)
No healthcare for those who can't pay for it
A Fox News outlet


If the Russians would agree to these conditions, MAYBE. But they would also have to allow a McD's on every corner, and offer to ban Bud Light.

Philosophical Question #14 – Lifestyle Choices

Here is an interesting question in my list of philosophical questions: 1.) Should governments have penalties for those who live unhealthy lifestyles? A list of unhealthy lifestyles would include things like smoking, drinking, illegal drugs, prostitution, and other “vice” type activities. I guess the “government penalties” would be referring to monetary punishments, withholding medical treatments (insurance companies would love that), possibly imposing/regulating very high (exorbitant) prices on things considered unhealthy in order to cut down on their use, and other possibilities. 2.) Or, would you say that living an unhealthy lifestyle, likely resulting in a LOT of eventual personal pain and suffering, should be punishment enough for unhealthy lifestyles? When people make bad choices in life, often in their youth where ignorance and immediate gratification takes them over,  3.)
