Using acronyms to rile people up

 I wish I could take credit for the following, but I found this in the comment section on another site and thought I would just copy and past it here.

Those conservatives and right wingers sure do like their acronyms. They love to rail against the MSM, the DOJ, the FBI, the PC culture, those who teach CRT, and are so damn WOKE. (ok the last one isn't exactly an acronym, but close enough, a scary phrase that only needs a few letters to arouse anger and bitterness).

They accuse anyone who criticizes Trump of TDS, you can't trust the CDC or the FDA and certainly not the IRS. And you must be VERY fearful of BLM and ANTIFA.

The LBGTQ folks are grooming our kids to be gay or transsexual. I mean think about it, all you have to do to get conservatives dripping with venom is shout out:

MSM, DOJ, FBI, PC, CRT, WOKE, TDS, CDC, FDA, IRS, BLM, ANTIFA, LBGTQ.

Very effective messaging that. Owning the LIBS is easy if you can just slap them with a few acronyms or shortcuts.

It's like they all suffer from ADD, or ADHD, or ELD.

I had no idea what ELD means in that statement, tried to find one that is relevant and the closest I came was Expressive language disorder. Sounds about right. Anyone else have any idea what ELD could mean?

Philosophical Question #14 – Lifestyle Choices

Here is an interesting question in my list of philosophical questions: 1.) Should governments have penalties for those who live unhealthy lifestyles? A list of unhealthy lifestyles would include things like smoking, drinking, illegal drugs, prostitution, and other “vice” type activities. I guess the “government penalties” would be referring to monetary punishments, withholding medical treatments (insurance companies would love that), possibly imposing/regulating very high (exorbitant) prices on things considered unhealthy in order to cut down on their use, and other possibilities. 2.) Or, would you say that living an unhealthy lifestyle, likely resulting in a LOT of eventual personal pain and suffering, should be punishment enough for unhealthy lifestyles? When people make bad choices in life, often in their youth where ignorance and immediate gratification takes them over,  3.)
