AN IDEA THAT MIGHT FLY?

OK, bear with me here. The media has been musing about this possibility (though we all know it won't happen).

https://www.wcnc.com/article/news/verify/government-verify/it-is-possible-for-a-vice-president-to-be-nominated-to-the-supreme-court/536-4097e53b-fba8-4311-ae60-ea21b24709ab

Is Kamala qualified? Legally, yes:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamala_Harris#:~:text=In%202003%2C%20she%20was%20elected,and%20re%2Delected%20in%202014.&text=Harris%20defeated%20Loretta%20Sanchez%20in,in%20the%20United%20States%20Senate.

Mind you, the idea is being mostly floated by Rightwing media, for obvious reasons. BUT is the idea really THAT insane?

None other than Michael Smerconish was musing about this possibility this morning on XM radio.

His idea: kill two birds with one stone.

Kamala IS a woman of color, she has the credentials, and though the Repubs would fight tooth and nail, the Dems might have the votes to confirm her. (I know, depends on Manchin and Sinema)

THE ADDED BONUS: Biden gets to unload an unpopular VP and get a new one in time for the mid-terms.

How about:

Pete Buttigieg (as long as Biden doesn't keep insisting on having a woman of color as VP)

Tammy Duckworth (if  Biden does insist, and this would be a popular pick)

Joe Manchin (imagine the headlines!)

Deb Haaland (our first Native American VP)

SO FOLKS: have some fun with this one and answer two questions:

Would it be a good idea to name Kamala Harris to the SCOTUS?

If it were to happen (I know, not going to, but play along anyways), who would YOU like to see as a new VP?
