For those who follow U.S. politics…
This Tuesday, the destiny of the direction of U.S. politics is in the hands of the Georgian people. If just one (of the two Republican candidates on the Georgia ballot) gets elected by the people, everything pretty much stays as is. All committees will continue to be headed up by Republicans, and Mitch McConnell will continue to call all the agenda shots for the next four years.
If, on the other hand, both of those open seats should go to the Democrats, everything changes in a monumental way. Democrats will then head up all committees and Chuck Schumer will be the new Senate Leader, setting the political agenda for the next four years. Democrat Kamala Harris will be any tie-breaking vote, if needed.
There is a lot (actually everything) on the line for the Democrats. Just to add to the drama, the Republican Party is currently in a state of flux, with mainstream-type Republicans against radical-type Republicans, pretty much thanks to Divider-in-Chief, Donald J. Trump.
Here’s the question:
What are your predictions for those two Senate seats?
After all the votes are counted sometime next week, we’ll see who here predicted it right.
Thanks for recommending.
