SOMETHING SILLY, SOMETHING DIFFERENT


OK - just to get AWAY from all the head bashing and angry retorts and partisan politics, let's try something LIGHTER - after all Tis the Season and all that.

 YOU have become stranded on a remote island, an island that nevertheless can furnish you with plenty of trees to build shelters from, has several fresh water streams, there is plenty of game life and fresh water fish as well as fruits to live off.

The only thing for YOU is a matter of companionship.
SO - you have been granted an opportunity ( oh never mind by whom, say by a genie, God, or SNOWFLAKE ) and that opportunity is to have the companionship of TWO people to share the island with for the rest of your life.

 There IS however a rider in the opportunity, the two people you get to chose can not be a family member or a loved one. 

 You can specifically name a person you are not already close to, so for some of you guys and gals, you can fulfill your fantasy of someone handsome or beautiful you have had fantasies about.

 Or you could be more practical and pick people with survival skills, instead of naming a specific person, you could opt for a hunter and a carpenter, or whatever skills you think will be needed to survive.

 Or you can combine your choices, but personally, to make this MORE FUN, be imaginative, I mean this kind of opportunity will not come YOUR way again, so indulge - WHO would you love to spend the rest of your life with on a deserted island.

 YOU might also tailor your picks in such a way to avoid threesome conflicts, that is why I chose for you to have TWO options instead of one, to make this more challenging.

Philosophical Question #14 – Lifestyle Choices

Here is an interesting question in my list of philosophical questions: 1.) Should governments have penalties for those who live unhealthy lifestyles? A list of unhealthy lifestyles would include things like smoking, drinking, illegal drugs, prostitution, and other “vice” type activities. I guess the “government penalties” would be referring to monetary punishments, withholding medical treatments (insurance companies would love that), possibly imposing/regulating very high (exorbitant) prices on things considered unhealthy in order to cut down on their use, and other possibilities. 2.) Or, would you say that living an unhealthy lifestyle, likely resulting in a LOT of eventual personal pain and suffering, should be punishment enough for unhealthy lifestyles? When people make bad choices in life, often in their youth where ignorance and immediate gratification takes them over,  3.)
