Grade Yourself…

Who doesn’t like to give their opinion?  Hey, that’s why we’re here on the blogs, right?

And, who doesn’t like to talk about themselves?  Confucius say, “Show me man who doesn’t like to talk about self, and I’ll show you dead man.”  (No, I just read that in a fortune cookie once. 😜)

Anyway, I’m thinking about the concept of “fanaticism” today.  First, one definition from Dictionary.com:

Fanaticism is an extreme and often unquestioning enthusiasm, devotion, or zeal for something, such as a religion, political stance, or cause. It can also refer to behavior motivated by such enthusiasm or devotion.

We’ll just go with that one, but you can tweak (fold, spindle and/or mutilate) that definition to your liking.  You are by no means locked in to it. 😊

So, let’s grade ourselves on things we can be fanatical about.

On a scale of 1-10, where 1 means “not interested” up to 10, meaning “very interested,” grade yourself on the following categories below.  Add categories if you want to, re-calibrate my 1-10 definitions with your own, further explain yourself in each category if you feel it’s needed/desired.  But mostly, just have fun grading yourself.  Here is a list of various categories I was thinking about, listed in alphabetical order:

  1. Abortion
  2. Animal Rights
  3. Discrimination
  4. Environment
  5. Food
  6. Gay Rights
  7. Honesty
  8. Illegal Immigration
  9. Loyalty
  10. Money
  11. Movie Stars/Entertainment
  12. Patriotism
  13. Politics
  14. Religion
  15. Science and Technology
  16. Sports
  17. Video Games
  18. Voting/Voting Rights
  19. White Supremacy
  20. Women’s Rights
  21. Your Health
  22. Your Looks/Appearance

Thanks for playing and recommending!
