QAnon followers think an act of Congress did away with the U.S. government in the 1870s, and that Trump will become 19th president of a new Republic.

Some QAnon promoters are clinging to the idea that Donald Trump will be inaugurated as president this Thursday, on March 4.

QAnon’s latest conspiracy theory seems to borrow from the sovereign citizen movement, which believes that an act by Congress in 1871 did away with the U.S. government, and installed a corporation in its place, rendering every president and law passed afterward as illegitimate. 

The timeline and logic are hard to follow, but QAnon followers predict Trump will be sworn in on March 4, because that was the start date of new U.S. Presidents until it was changed in 1933.

"They claim that the last legitimate president was Ulysses S. Grant and that now Donald Trump, instead of being the 45th president, will become the 19th president of the restored constitutional republic. January 20th was just a fake inauguration," said Jack Bratich, associate professor of journalism and media studies at Rutgers University, and author of "Conspiracy Panics: Political Rationality and Popular Culture."

March 4 Isn’t the Only Date on the QAnon Calendar

What a month.March 20:

This is another possible date of Trump’s return, as reported by Washington Post journalist Dave Weigel on Sunday.

Met Ken, who informed me that Trump is still in command of the military, and Trump will be inaugurated again on March 20. (Biden is acting as president as a ruse while the Pope and others are rounded up.)


March 20 may offer better value for non-locals: You can still snag a room at the Trump Hotel for around $600. March 20 is also the date the GOP was founded in Ripon, Wisconsin, in 1834.

Booking a room will cost $1,331—almost triple the daily rate in March.

The hotel’s nightly rates in March range, on average, from $476 to $596. But on Trump’s imagined inauguration weekend, rooms leap to $1,331. Throughout his presidency, the hotel became a go-to hangout for Trump’s entourage and supporters, earning the MAGA-crowd moniker of “America’s living room.”

Philosophical Question #14 – Lifestyle Choices

Here is an interesting question in my list of philosophical questions: 1.) Should governments have penalties for those who live unhealthy lifestyles? A list of unhealthy lifestyles would include things like smoking, drinking, illegal drugs, prostitution, and other “vice” type activities. I guess the “government penalties” would be referring to monetary punishments, withholding medical treatments (insurance companies would love that), possibly imposing/regulating very high (exorbitant) prices on things considered unhealthy in order to cut down on their use, and other possibilities. 2.) Or, would you say that living an unhealthy lifestyle, likely resulting in a LOT of eventual personal pain and suffering, should be punishment enough for unhealthy lifestyles? When people make bad choices in life, often in their youth where ignorance and immediate gratification takes them over,  3.)
