Any Alfred Hitchcock fans out there?
To be honest, I wasn't a big Hithcock fan, I found most of his movies predictable and irritatingly slow, and his supposed "classic" laughable, though I suppose AT THE TIME, Psycho's bathroom scene passed for "gory".
But Geri and I have started to rewatch some of the old Hithcock films, and some are actually very good.
Last night we watched The Trouble With Harry

And one of my favorite movies of all time is still Rebecca
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0032976/
Though the book by Daphne du Maurier is still superior
A couple of nights ago we watched a deliciously wicked but little known Hitchcock gem called The Lodger
from 1927, described by wikipedia as "the finest British production ever made” (considering the times)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lodger:_A_Story_of_the_London_Fog
Like I said earlier, not a huge Hitchcock fan but he did direct some gems, so asking:
ANY other Hitchcock fans out there?
Got any favorites? NOT so favorities?
Your overall impression of Hitchcock's style?
Didya know, also according to wikipedia, that:
Hitchcock borders themes of "the fascination with technique and problem-solving, the obsession with blondes, the fear of authority, the ambivalence towards homosexuality"
ANYWAY join in and Happy Monday.
