ER...?

I take a few days off and everyone goes AWOL?

Well, I am back!

Alas, some sad news, we have - at least temporarily - lost one of our regulars.

Kristen, our resident elf, will not be with us for a while, for how long is uncertain, but I would urge my other authors to take her off the invite list for now.

Her reasons are personal so not my place to reveal them.

Hoping everyone here is planning or has gotten their vaccine, and will continue to observe social distancing and mask wearing, we are getting closer to beating this thing (thanks Biden for taking this seriously) but new variants are now the big worry.

As for my assessment of the job Biden has done so far, not bad, especially with the Covid relief bill, however he needs to figure out the border situation - FAST.

One thing the Right can rely on is that support for the Dems will fade fast unless they can tackle the influx of unaccompanied minors. Maybe build a wall? (joking) But I worry about the midterms, the Republicans will milk this crisis at the border unless Biden acts to stop the flow.

One suggestion I heard is for the U.S. to set up a refugee processing center INSIDE Mexico (with their permission of course) so they screen migrants for Covid and assess whether they are eligible for entry into the U.S. before they hit the border.

AND THEN I came across this little tidbit to chew on:

Assistant Principal Accused in Homecoming Court Vote Fraud

An assistant principal is accused of accessing the school district’s internal system to cast fraudulent votes for her daughter, who was elected homecoming queen.

PENSACOLA, FLA. (AP) — An assistant principal at an elementary school is accused of accessing the school district's internal system to cast fraudulent votes for her daughter who was elected homecoming queen at her high school, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said.

On Monday, agents arrested Laura Rose Carroll, 50, and her 17-year-old daughter on multiple charges stemming from the October homecoming vote at Tate High School in Pensacola.

Each are charged with offenses against users of computers, computer systems, computer networks and electronic devices; unlawful use of a two-way communications device; criminal use of personally identifiable information and conspiracy to commit those offenses.
