An article electrek published, Elon Musk says Grok is coming to Tesla vehicles just after it went full Hitler, elicited some insightful commentary. Grok going Hitler refers to Musk's Grok artificial intelligence "fixes" that flushed out "liberal bias" and somehow inserted Hitler and Nazi sympathy. Tesla cars will soon be running Grok to help them do whatever people driving Teslas do.

Peanut 1: If you ask it for directions to a Mexican restaurant it locks the doors and contacts ICE.
Peanut 2: Yeah? Watch what happens when you ask for directions to a good bagel and lox.
Peanut 3: Grok will start sending Tesler drivers child porn to have them arrested, cuz an AI bot can't be charged for sending it. But the feds will charge the owner of the car for possessing it. That's some black mirror shit there ...."framed by AI".
Peanut 4: Version 1: close windows, lock doors, burst in to flames  Version 2: autopilot to nearest concentration camp. 
Peanut 5: The car only starts with the words "Mein Fuhrer!" Your music playlist is now all Wagner. "Grok, was that a child I just ran over?" . . . . . I am spoiled for choice when it comes to reasons not to buy a Tesla.


A techcrunch article, A cloud-seeding startup did not cause the Texas floods, commenting on crackpot conspiracies about the recent floods in Texas that killed dozens of people. The article elicited some insightful commentary.
 
Peanut 1: Well, we have educated scientists who are experts in this domain saying that cloud-seeding did not cause this flood. And we have some Republican high school dropouts and Russian bots on X saying the opposite. I wonder which group more Americans will listen to?
Peanut 2: Somehow it will be woke DEI cloud seeding caused maliciously by dangerous and evil immigrants running rampant and seeding good wholesome white cumulonimbus clouds against their will.
Peanut 3: Wait -- they got DEI in the clouds now? If they were all white it wouldn't have rained.
Peanut 4: I imagine the overlap between flat earthers and the cloud seed conspiracy is really big.
Peanut 5: How did we get here?
Peanut 6: Ignorance and stupidity.

Peanut: At this point everyone not living under a pile of rocks has confirmed the known known that Donald Trump sexually assaulted E. Jean Carroll.

Confronting Bluster 😡💢🗯🗯

  So, what is bluster? By definition: - to speak or act in a noisy, angry, or threatening way without saying anything important As good enough an explanation as any I guess, but it really doesn't say it all. Back when I was a kid, there was always that kid on the teams that would lose at whatever game it was and get mad while blaming someone else for the loss, even though they'd been a major part in the loss. So I naively assumed that bluster was only a sore loser thing. As I got older and worked I found out that it was also a tactic to try and scare others from fighting back. So a poker reference here, it's very similar to someone going "all in" right away to discourage anyone from calling the bet. Now, we see it quite often in politics, usually with doubling down if it's confronted.
