Being your own person…

Who were you?  Who are you?  Who have you become?  Great questions on self-reflection.

When you were young, you spent a lot of time searching for your identity; perhaps the heroes you sought to emulate.  Time and living passes…

Then maybe you became what someone else wanted you to be; perhaps expectations in an important relationship.  Time and living passes…

Eventually you become your own person, not living up to anyone’s models, expectations or standards.  You are just you, built on your lifetime journey of self-searching.

Q1: Are you a.) still in searching mode, b.) still in expectations mode, c.) in a final “what you see is what you get,” take me or leave me mode?

Q2: Is there something after the so-called “end game mode” (final destination)?  E.g., perhaps "second-guessing" mode? "Go back three spaces" mode?  "Trash the whole thing and start all over" mode?  Other?

Do some self-reflecting for us (and for you). 😉
