YIKES - CANADA IS SLIPPING!!

 

Canada just lost its title as the best country in the world!

Say it isn't so?

“The Best Countries rankings are designed to help policymakers and residents identify how perceptions affect their country’s standing among other nations,” said Kim Castro, editor and chief content officer at US News, in a statement.
While Canada scored well for quality of life, ranking third, it lacked in other subcategories.
Its worst ranking is 63rd under the movers category, which measures the fastest growing economies in the world.
The country also lagged behind in the heritage category, which measures how much a nation has “shaped history with their culture.” Apparently cultural contributions like Marvel superheroes and Timbiebs aren’t enough because Canada ranked 28th in that category.

I personally blame one American SNOWFLAKE, because it can't be a coincidence that Canada went down in ranking since he moved to Canada!

Now as upsetting as THAT news it, more astonishing is how the U.S. faired:

So the rankings for "Best country" sees the U.S. moving up in the standings and Canada moving down?

I don't believe it! Nope, uhuh. I still say Canada is #1. Whatcha all think?

Philosophical Question #14 – Lifestyle Choices

Here is an interesting question in my list of philosophical questions: 1.) Should governments have penalties for those who live unhealthy lifestyles? A list of unhealthy lifestyles would include things like smoking, drinking, illegal drugs, prostitution, and other “vice” type activities. I guess the “government penalties” would be referring to monetary punishments, withholding medical treatments (insurance companies would love that), possibly imposing/regulating very high (exorbitant) prices on things considered unhealthy in order to cut down on their use, and other possibilities. 2.) Or, would you say that living an unhealthy lifestyle, likely resulting in a LOT of eventual personal pain and suffering, should be punishment enough for unhealthy lifestyles? When people make bad choices in life, often in their youth where ignorance and immediate gratification takes them over,  3.)
