e_monster asks... [S3E1]
* How do you rate the parenting skills of your parents?
As a full-grown adult, this is an interesting
question to reflect on. If you are
yourself now a parent, you can more easily relate to the trials and
tribulations your parents (or guardians) went through, when taking care of you
and your siblings.
Consider questions like:
-A comparison of yourself to your parents. What rating do you give them in different
categories, versus yourself? E.g., 1=very
bad … 10=excellent.
-Things you do/did differently? The same?
-What values do/did you/they try to instill? Were those values successful (i.e., turned
out the kind of kid that was hoped for)?
-Forms of punishments and/or rewards (e.g., time outs or
other punishments for bad behaviors, or say, bought/gave you things you wanted
for good behaviors, etc.).
A lot of angles to consider this
from. Mix, match, and add as you
please. Think about it, then give e_monster
your thoughts on this highly-relatable subject.
And thanks for favoriting and supporting
the thread!
