What qualities do you look for in a Candidate?

 Yeah yeah, we have all heard it, Joe Biden has dementia, he sniffs hair, and he is old.

And Trump was supposedly "elected" because of his business acumen, forgetting "business" people tend to bullshit and like to screw the little guy.

Some Presidents were popular due to their personalities and looks, others because they were seen as "tough", others because of which party they belong to.

But if we were to take our partisan hats off, are there certain criteria you would have for what YOU would consider a good candidate for President? OR for that matter what qualities you would look for in ANY leader of any nation?

Which of the following would YOU consider the MOST important factors for leadership of a country?

Sagacity and thoughtfulness

Toughness and decisiveness

Charisma and personality

Experience and history of service

Political affiliation and/or Religious affiliation

Bombast and bravado

Huge heart and gentle disposition

Physical appearance

Gender

Personal views on social issues

Philosophical Question #14 – Lifestyle Choices

Here is an interesting question in my list of philosophical questions: 1.) Should governments have penalties for those who live unhealthy lifestyles? A list of unhealthy lifestyles would include things like smoking, drinking, illegal drugs, prostitution, and other “vice” type activities. I guess the “government penalties” would be referring to monetary punishments, withholding medical treatments (insurance companies would love that), possibly imposing/regulating very high (exorbitant) prices on things considered unhealthy in order to cut down on their use, and other possibilities. 2.) Or, would you say that living an unhealthy lifestyle, likely resulting in a LOT of eventual personal pain and suffering, should be punishment enough for unhealthy lifestyles? When people make bad choices in life, often in their youth where ignorance and immediate gratification takes them over,  3.)
