WARNING

 Don't go over to Breaking News (which I know some of you like to visit). Nauseating doesn't even cut it.

Don't even attempt, even out of curiosity, to turn on Fox News. You will feel sick.

I would seriously urge all my followers to keep away from news in general, but right-wing leaning news in particular.

Stop the doom-scrolling. I know you all want to know every twist and turn in the Charlie Kirk story and it's aftermath, but you will become very upset, even triggered, if you pursue your interest. 

I can't turn on the TV to news any more. I avoid political talk shows. I want to disappear into the backwoods of Canada. Oh never mind, I already have. So maybe even further into the backwoods.

I have never seen such outrage, such vitriol, such insane ravings, as there has been over the killing of Charlie Kirk.

People generally came together over the assassination of MKL and JFK. They even came together in brotherhood over the attempted killing of Reagan.

But something has changed. One on side there are now teachers and leftists on tiktok and the like being fired for cheering on the assassination of Kirk. On the Right they are practically calling for a civil war. They are out for vengeance, out for blood.

THIS IS NOW THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

But we don't have to be part of this madness in here, on THIS forum. THIS forum was originally meant to be about a broad range of subjects: political or otherwise. Comical or serious. Now I am seriously tempted to make THIS forum strictly non-political. After this rant of course. But no need, it has gone largely non-political by osmosis already. Thankfully.

Sorry for the rant, now let's get back to what we do best on here.

Confronting Bluster 😡💢🗯🗯

  So, what is bluster? By definition: - to speak or act in a noisy, angry, or threatening way without saying anything important As good enough an explanation as any I guess, but it really doesn't say it all. Back when I was a kid, there was always that kid on the teams that would lose at whatever game it was and get mad while blaming someone else for the loss, even though they'd been a major part in the loss. So I naively assumed that bluster was only a sore loser thing. As I got older and worked I found out that it was also a tactic to try and scare others from fighting back. So a poker reference here, it's very similar to someone going "all in" right away to discourage anyone from calling the bet. Now, we see it quite often in politics, usually with doubling down if it's confronted.
