The English You Can’t Stand

 

Most of us here are old enough to have seen the language change throughout the years.  English is a living language.  That said, what usage or new words just make you want to scream?

For Bunny, it is treating data as a plural, as in “the data are correct.”   It is a non countable noun in English, no matter what it is in Latin.

Is this a joke?

 I would like to ask any of my Canadian friends what they think of Trudeau's response to the impending tariffs imposed on Canada by Trump. I mean, I hope most Canadians would be MORE outraged than to simply suggest......... to forgo Florida orange juice and Kentucky bourbon He said: “It might mean checking the labels at the supermarket and picking Canadian made products.
