As Trans Day of Remembrance approaches, the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE) has released its 2023 Remembrance Report honoring the lives of 109 transgender individuals who have passed away in the United States since November 2022, with at least 53 of those lost to violence and another 33 to suicide.

Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence.

Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) was started in 1999 by transgender advocate Gwendolyn Ann Smith as a vigil to honor the memory of Rita Hester, a transgender woman who was killed in 1998.

To be honest, how many of us would even have been aware that a day like today even existed? If I hadn't come across this tidbit, I would not have been aware. I did a quick search of the net and found very few references to this date in the MSM. Does that have to change?

Ok, ok, SOME media are covering this day and promoting events. But I still couldn't find any coverage of this day on any national media. Could any of you?
