Well folks, now I know what it feels like .........
.........To have had covid.
First morning since last Tuesday that I have had a negative reading. All the worst symptoms are gone. No fever, headache, chest pain.
BUT......... appears I could still have lingering effects for weeks (if I am to believe the drs). Still coughing a lot, just with a little less phlegm now. And it doesn't hurt to cough. But DAMN, day and night the coughing goes on and on. Got a cold sore on my lip to boot. Yeesh!
Lost 7 pounds in the last week, surprised not more, haven't eaten much, no appetite. Will have to start eating regular again.
That is my 2nd bout with an illness just since the start of this year, DAMN, maybe moving to the colder clime wasn't such a great idea after all?
Actually getting Covid, and Geri got it too, but her's was a milder one, she recovered after just 4 days, was entirely MY fault. Got too comfy. Let this be a lesson folks. We aren't out of the woods yet. I stopped wearing masks when shopping. Started to have dinner out with friends. Forgot to wash my hands constantly. AND I missed the last recommended booster, yet Geri got hers. She was out of it for 4 days and I am still feeling the effects even after a negative test. Twice vaxxed and twice boosted but missed the third boost. Lesson learned.
It is now apparent that we are going to have to live with Covid in some form likely forever. Yearly Covid boosters will become like yearly flu shots.
