The Bidens Went to Dinner and Ordered the Same Dish, Dividing the Internet

The President and First Lady got two orders of rigatoni at Italian restaurant the Red Hen


Joe and Jill Biden went to dinner on Saturday at Bloomingdale Italian restaurant the Red Hen. (No, not that Red Hen in Lexington, Virginia, the one that famously turned away Sarah Huckabee Sanders, sparking another Trump-era episode of the culture wars. This one has the same name but is totally unaffiliated.)

Chef and co-owner Mike Friedman tells Washingtonian that POTUS and FLOTUS ordered a couple glasses of Barbera, grilled bread with cultured butter, chicory salad, and two orders of rigatoni with fennel sausage ragu. To which the Twitterati responded: Wait a minute, they ordered the same dish?

There are 2 types of couples in this world: those who order the same dish at a restaurant and those who would never ever dare… I would definitely glare at my husband if he ordered the same thing as me because obviously we need to try as much of the menu as possible!

Philosophical Question #14 – Lifestyle Choices

Here is an interesting question in my list of philosophical questions: 1.) Should governments have penalties for those who live unhealthy lifestyles? A list of unhealthy lifestyles would include things like smoking, drinking, illegal drugs, prostitution, and other “vice” type activities. I guess the “government penalties” would be referring to monetary punishments, withholding medical treatments (insurance companies would love that), possibly imposing/regulating very high (exorbitant) prices on things considered unhealthy in order to cut down on their use, and other possibilities. 2.) Or, would you say that living an unhealthy lifestyle, likely resulting in a LOT of eventual personal pain and suffering, should be punishment enough for unhealthy lifestyles? When people make bad choices in life, often in their youth where ignorance and immediate gratification takes them over,  3.)
