My sweetie and me both drives gas powered SUVs but hardly ever use mine anymore, as we go most places together, so we have been seriously discussing selling both of our SUVs and getting one Hybrid. I'm Magnetic!!

A Washington Post opinion piece is of some interest : I remember clearly the moment it began: right after my first covid shot. I was going through security at the airport, and I set off the metal detector. Annoyed, I removed my gun from its holster and put it on the conveyor belt. I still beeped. I removed my machete, nunchucks and grenade launcher and put them through the X-ray machine. But I still beeped! I had become magnetic. The next morning, as I was eating my oatmeal, my spoon stuck to the roof of my mouth. I might have choked, but fortunately the spoon was jarred loose when the magnetic force slammed me against the refrigerator, where I remained suspended until family members were able to pull me down. Things really got weird after my second dose. Strolling back to my car from the vaccine clinic, I suddenly found myself plastered to the grill of an idling UPS truck. I took a walk in the woods to get away from all the metal, but I got lost: My compass stopped pointing north and ...

Poll Finds Sharp Boost in US Global Image Since Biden Took Office

Image
As President Biden meets with world leaders in England, a new survey shows America’s image abroad has rebounded since the Trump presidency came to an end. (CN) — An  international poll  released Thursday by the Pew Research Center shows foreigners’ views on America and its leadership have grown much more positive since former President Donald Trump left office. These findings come after years of low confidence in the U.S. president to do the right thing in regards to world affairs, as Biden meets with world leaders at the G7 summit in Cornwall, England. Last year, a mere 17% of respondents in 12 foreign countries expressed confidence that Trump would do the right thing. That confidence has sharply risen to a median of 75% since Biden assumed office, according to Thursday’s poll.  The overall favorability of America on the world stage has risen as well. At the end of the Trump presidency, 63% of international respondents saw the U.S. as unfavorable, with 34% viewing...

Fox News #1 With “People Who Stare at TV All Day” Demographic

Image
The Fox News Channel captures critical, old, white television market . Washington, DC  — A recent American survey revealed that the Fox News Channel (FNC) had captured the number one spot in the critical “people who stare at the television all day” demographic. The sampling of over 42,000 Americans also revealed that the FNC is also the overwhelming choice of Americans who “keep the television on at full volume so they can hear it throughout the house” population. “It keeps me company,” said Carrol, Texas retired engineer Davis Punt (69), who says he keeps Fox News on all day because the conservative network ‘owns the stupid ‘libs’. “It’s like having a friend over who likes to yell. It spices things up in the house. I turn it up when my mouthy democrat son-in-law comes over.” Mr. Punt’s son-in-law, Dale Billings (42), says he is not a democrat, claiming he’s voted as an independent in the past four elections. “I don’t know what the old man is talking about, but he seems to h...

Dumb claims about vaccination

Image
Today's Ohio news has the latest scoop about What's Wrong With the Covid Vaccines:  it makes you magnetic! Yes, really.   "I'm sure you've seen the pictures all over the internet of people who've had these shots and now they're magnetized, and put a key on their forehead, it sticks, they can put spoons and forks all over them and they can stick because now we think that there's a metal piece to that," a woman explained at an Ohio legislative meeting today. Who knew that a vaccine could turn us all into Uri Gellers? Of course, we already knew that the vaccine was a subterfuge to bring on the Zombie Apocalypse. Mmmm.  Brains! Then there are the claims that we're being injected with nanites, microscopic robot cells that will, at Bill Gates' command, track our every movement!  That one is so convincing that everyone's reporting it via their, um, very trackable cellular phones and other such devices! But I'm sure there are many I'm...

Co-workers donate their kidneys to save each other’s husbands

Co-workers donate their kidneys to save each other’s husbands   PHOTO: Tia Wimbush, left, and Susan Ellis are coworkers who donated their kidneys to save their husbands' lives. (Children's Healthcare of Atlanta) A chance encounter in a bathroom at work turned into a  lifesaving kidney transplant chain  for two coworkers at an Atlanta hospital. Susan Ellis and Tia Wimbush, who have worked together at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for more than a decade, both knew each other's husbands needed a kidney transplant, but it was not until they saw each other in the bathroom at work last fall and stopped to ask how their husbands were doing that they made a lifesaving connection. During that conversation -- the first in-person conversation they'd had in several months due to the  coronavirus  pandemic -- the coworkers realized that Wimbush's blood type was a perfect match for Ellis's husband, Lance, and Ellis's blood type was compatible with Wimbush's hus...
