It Always Happens

 

Bunny’s house is on a corner.  The street facing the driveway is rather narrow.  Also, very quiet.  Seldom any cars, until you need to do something on the street, then come the cars.  Pulling weeds from the stones in the driveway, means moving the car somewhat out into the street,  Of course, that’s when the cars, trucks, and everything else come by.  Need to pull the car back in each time.    Happens without fail.

Any things that always happen to you?

The MonoRacer 130E Fully Enclosed Motorcycle Aims to Redefine Personal Mobility Elena Gorgan The idea of making something that would be halfway between a bicycle or motorcycle and a car is not new; after all, the advantages of such a vehicle would be many for a large segment of the market. In the Czech Republic, inventor, fabricator and full-time pilot Arnold Wagner has been making one such vehicle since the late ‘80s. Since 2009, with a new partner, he launched the  PERAVES CZ  company, and they’ve been putting out these cabin-motorcycles dubbed MonoRacer since then. They probably haven’t sold more than a couple of hundred of them (90 of which were made before the 2009 partnership), but that could change as early as this month. AI presidents – a good idea or a disaster waiting to happen?

  Humans are notoriously bad at governing themselves. More often than not, we let our emotions influence our decisions, instead of basing them on facts and common sense. And judging by our recent history, that’s unlikely to change anytime soon. So, if humans can’t be trusted to do what’s best for them, why not pass that responsibility onto someone, or rather something, that could – an AI? The idea of an artificially intelligent ruler has been a staple of science fiction for quite some time. The first thought that comes to most people’s minds when they think about a society governed by machines will probably be that of the Skynet system from the  Terminator  movies.
