Can a little suffering be good for us (U.S.)?

Do you think the likely upcoming shortage of Chinese goods will be an excellent wake-up call for us spoiled Americans?  

We are used to cheap goods basically made with cheap, often child labor.  Now such goods will be less plentiful and more expensive. 

What does this portend for your Xmas?

 I would like to ask any of my Canadian friends what they think of Trudeau's response to the impending tariffs imposed on Canada by Trump. I mean, I hope most Canadians would be MORE outraged than to simply suggest......... to forgo Florida orange juice and Kentucky bourbon He said: “It might mean checking the labels at the supermarket and picking Canadian made products.
